These Terms of Service govern use of the ShopSmart website and ShopSmart's private publishing integrations, including the ShopSmart Publisher and Pinterest publishing tools.
Purpose of ShopSmart
ShopSmart provides research-based product reviews, comparisons and buying information. Content is provided for informational purposes and should not be treated as a guarantee of product performance, price, availability or suitability.
ShopSmart Publisher
The ShopSmart Publisher is a private workflow used to publish and manage content on ShopSmart-owned YouTube channels. The integration may upload videos, update video metadata, add videos to playlists and create comments when those actions have been authorized through Google OAuth.
The integration is not offered as a public video-management service and is not intended to control unrelated YouTube accounts.
Authorization and account access
Google, YouTube and Pinterest integrations operate only after the relevant account grants authorization. Access may be revoked at any time through the connected platform's account settings. Revoking authorization will prevent future API actions that depend on those credentials.
Affiliate content
Some ShopSmart content contains affiliate links. ShopSmart may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to the buyer. Prices, availability, specifications and retailer terms can change and should be verified on the retailer or manufacturer website before purchase.
Research-based reviews
ShopSmart clearly distinguishes research-based reviews from physical hands-on testing. Research-based reviews may rely on manufacturer specifications, product listings, documentation and other publicly available information. ShopSmart does not claim long-term physical testing when none occurred.
Availability and changes
ShopSmart may update, suspend or discontinue website features or private integrations when needed for security, maintenance, platform-policy changes or operational reasons.
Acceptable use
The website and integrations must not be used to violate applicable law, platform terms, intellectual-property rights, account-security restrictions or authorization boundaries.
Disclaimer
ShopSmart content and publishing tools are provided on an as-available basis. Product information and third-party platform behavior can change, and ShopSmart cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to external APIs or retailer services.
